Guwahati, June 27: One person died , while four persons were injured in a LPG cylinder blast last night in Guwahati.
The incident occurred when the labourers, belonging to L&T company, were engaged in bridge construction work at the site of Brahmaputra river in Fancy Bazar area.
The incident happened when labourers were working inside a ship on the Brahmaputra.
According to initial reports, the explosion, which took place in the morning, is believed to have been caused by a technical issue with one of the gas cylinders being used in the construction process.
Injured persons have been rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
