Manipur: Assam Rifles organizes Mega Medical Camp for locals of Leitanpokpi and adjoining Meitei area

Imphal, June 7: The Assam Rifles organised a medical camp to address the medical needs of locals affected by ongoing security situation in violence-hit Manipur and living in relief camps and in adjoining areas in state’s Leitanpokpi

The Assam Rifles said that approx 840 people were given medical care by a team of motivated doctors.

Due to the ongoing turmoil in the state of Manipur, the life of thousands of innocent people of Leitanpokpi has been adversely affected.

The people have been deprived of essential amenities and basic health care due to the internal security situation.

The medical camps was organised by the Assam Rifles on Tuesday at Leitanpokpi to provide Healthcare to the locals of Leitanpokpi and adjoining Meitei Areas.

The locals were provided with medical consultation, treatment, and medicines during the medical camp.

According to reports, around 834 people including 354 women and 243 children were attended to by the team of doctors of Assam Rifles.
