Imphal, July 14: Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey visited a relief camp in the Imphal-East district and heard the grievances of the inmates.
Uikey said all possible help would be provided to them. The Governor said she had already instructed the State government to provide skill training.
There are 269 people in the camp.
The Governor said 60,000 Central security forces personnel were deployed in Manipur.
Uikey said there was an urgent need to restore normality in the violence-hit state by holding talks with all stakeholders.
Governor gives firm assurance to the people of Manipur that Security Forces are seized of this challenge and are undertaking joint operations on regular basis to eliminate any such threat.
Uikey stated on intelligence inputs indicating presence of certain inimical elements who could have infiltrated from across the border to fuel the current unrest in Manipur.
Meanwhile, the police said in a release that six bunkers were destroyed in different parts of Manipur.
