Imphal, Oct 30: The displaced students’ parent of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Langol, Imphal on Monday raised their voice demanding the transfer of the their children to nearby NIT college in Nagaland/ Kohima or any other neighbouring state.
“Though Online classes were arranged by the concerned authorities, it is lacking in terms of quality as the college lack proper infrastructures to organise for a large number of students ranging from four different engineering branches, that too 4 semesters,” complained Jullie, a mother of one of the NIT students.
She further stated that order for online class has been issued on October 9, 2023, only, and demanded offline class through temporary transfer of the students.
Another parent, P Kipgen, stated they have jointly demanded shifting of their wards to another college earlier yet that has not been materialized.
He reiterated the immediate transfer of the displaced Kuki-Zo students.
“Education is our right, transfer only solution. Our children are facing the problem. We demand to transfer our children to nearby state for education purpose,” said a parent.
