Aizawl, March 17: A devastating fire broke out in the early hours of Monday at Aizawl’s City Centre Treasury Market, reducing 60 shops to ashes.
Reportedly, the fire started around 3 AM, which rapidly engulfed half of the market’s 120 small businesses, including stalls selling fresh produce and various goods.
Firefighters responded promptly, battling the inferno for several hours before bringing it under control. No casualties have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities are assessing the extent of the damage and planning support measures for the affected vendors.
