Shillong, May 5: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) on Monday declared the results of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination 2025 for the Arts stream, revealing an overall pass percentage of 82.05%.
A total of 22,835 candidates appeared for the exam, out of which 18,736 successfully cleared it. Female candidates once again outperformed their male counterparts across both Regular and Non-Regular categories.
Topping the charts this year is Eastern West Khasi Hills, which recorded the highest district pass percentage of 92.70%, with 711 out of 767 students passing. Close behind is East Khasi Hills, where 7,239 out of 7,939 candidates cleared the exam, resulting in a 91.18% pass rate. East Jaintia Hills also performed strongly, recording a 90.16% pass percentage.
At the lower end, South West Garo Hills and North Garo Hills posted the weakest performances, with pass rates of 64.53% and 64.55%, respectively. South Garo Hills too had a modest outcome at 66.01%.

District-wise performance:
- East Khasi Hills: 7,239 out of 7,939 passed (91.18%)
- West Khasi Hills: 923 out of 1,029 passed (89.70%)
- Ri-Bhoi: 1,557 out of 1,840 passed (84.62%)
- West Garo Hills: 2,479 out of 3,600 passed (68.86%)
- East Garo Hills: 862 out of 1,186 passed (72.68%)
- South Garo Hills: 371 out of 562 passed (66.01%)
- South West Khasi Hills: 466 out of 602 passed (77.41%)
- West Jaintia Hills: 2,279 out of 2,675 passed (85.20%)
- East Jaintia Hills: 522 out of 579 passed (90.16%)
- North Garo Hills: 752 out of 1,165 passed (64.55%)
- South West Garo Hills: 575 out of 891 passed (64.53%)
- Eastern West Khasi Hills: 711 out of 767 passed (92.70%)
