Shillong, May 5: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE) on Monday declared the results of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examination 2025 for the Commerce stream, with students from Shillong-based institutions dominating the top ten positions.
Disha Chokhani of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, secured the top rank with a score of 481 marks.
She was followed by Nishan Talukdar of Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School, who took the second position with 476 marks.
The third spot was claimed by Dipankar Barua, also from Laban Bengalee Boys’, who scored 468 marks, while Ankita Modak of St. Edmund’s Higher Secondary School secured the fourth position with 466 marks. Manav Modak of Laban Bengalee Boys’ followed closely in fifth place with 462 marks.
Two candidates—Vanlalchhuangi of St. Anthony’s and Sophia Niang, a Regular-II candidate—shared the sixth position with 461 marks each.

Animesh Pyal of St. Anthony’s stood seventh with 460 marks, while Naason Raymus Lyngkhoi of B.B.S. College secured eighth with 454 marks. The ninth rank was shared by three students—Nandani Kumari of St. Anthony’s, Dinea Niangdeihlun of St. Margaret’s, and Anitra Rabha of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School—each scoring 451 marks.
Saniya Hussain of St. Edmund’s Higher Secondary School rounded off the top ten with 450 marks.
