Chairman cum Managing Director of Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL), Sanjay Goyal has assured that the there would be no scheduled load shedding in the coming days. He stated that, “the state is in a position to provide uninterrupted electricity supply for the next five to six weeks even if the monsoon is delayed”.
Speaking to Hub News he said that in the past the system tripped and power supply was disrupted, mentioning of April 28, 2024 as one such day in which there was a major breakdown in Laitkor, he said that external factors like falling of tree lead to such major fallouts.
