Shillong, June 13: The Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL) has filed a review petition before the regulatory commission seeking a revision in the power tariff.
Managing Director of the Corporation Sanjay Goyal told reporters on Tuesday that it is a fact that there are certain issues about the determination of the tariff for certain categories of consumers.
“According to the Corporation, we are not convinced about that level of tariff, which has been fixed. So there are certain procedures which need to be followed. Therefore, we are filing the review petition before the regulatory commission…I am sure we will get some relief from the commission,” he said.
