Imphal, Feb 4: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Friday said the National People’s Party (NPP) will emerge as the single largest party in the upcoming Assembly polls in Manipur.

Addressing a political rally in Churachabdpur constituency, Conrad K Sangma said that NPP will emerge as the single largest party in the upcoming Assembly polls in Manipur.

“We are getting tremendous response in Manipur and the people are expecting us to lead the state. Our party understands the dynamics of Manipur because we know concerns of law and order and the problems of the youth. We know the region better then any other National political parties,” Sangma said.
He further said, “Manipur have huge opportunity to become a top states in the country. It is not about one election and political meeting. Its about cause and purpose we should have as citizens and leaders of this region. We have a larger responsibility and goal towards our people. Elections will come and go but I urged lets unit and combined together and give chance to NPP to lead the way to become the single largest party in the upcoming Assembly polls. Lots of work to be done for the development of Manipur and we are ready to lead the way to bring a change,”.
The NPP Chief said, “We have a vision and goal to see that our region and states should not look down as backward state or not developing as fast as other states of the country. In fact, we have a vision to take our states and region as one of the developing states in terms of infrastructure, economy etc. We are committed to work for the development of the people to take our states and region as one of the top developing states in the country,”.
“We have placed 42 candidates in 60 Assembly seats in the upcoming Assembky polls and we are full confident that our candidates will win from their respective seats,” Sangma added.
