Shillong, September 6: The Meghalaya Estimate Committee visited West Jaintia Hills District on Wednesday (September 6) to inspect the residential school located at Sabahmuswang, West Jaintia Hills District.
The committee, led by Chairman and Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem and accompanied by Mawkyrwat MLA Shri. Renikton L Tongkhar, North-Shillong MLA Shri. Adelbert Nongrum, Jowai MLA Shri. Wailadmiki Shylla, Selsella MLA Shri. Arbinstone B Marak, and Ampati MLA Smt. Miani D Shira, inspected the residential school to assess the status, condition, and infrastructure of the institution. The members had also allowed the headman of Sabahmuswang and the land donor for the construction of the residential school to voice their problems and any issues related to the school and its operation.
Later, the members were felicitated in the community hall at Sabahmuswang.
Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills, B.S Sohliya, IAS, District School Education Officer, Jowai Smt. A P S A. P. Syiem, andials from PWD (Building) were also present.
