Shillong, June 12: Fresh water otters were seen for the first time in Tura’s Ganol river in Meghalaya on Sunday.

After noticing the fish-eating otters, also known as Matram in Garo, soon the visitors at the Ganol Hydel Project site reported about it.

Soon the video of otters started circulation on social media.

Otters are fish-eating and amphibious mammals native to the rivers and coasts of western North America.
