Meghalaya Gov donates ₹ 1.10 lakh for construction of Ram temple

Shillong, Jan 19: Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Mallik donated Rs 1.10 lakh for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, as the Ramjanmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust began a nationwide campaign to collect donations.

A delegation of four people from the Shillong based Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra met Governor, Satya Pal Malik and apprised him of the developments of the Ram Mandir temple construction in Ayodhya which the Trust is entrusted with.

A statement issued on Monday informed that the Governor issued a cheque of Rs 1.10 lakh for the same and wished all the best to the contingent. He wished all the best for the work of the Trust and also sought feedback on the other activities of the organization and its affiliates, it said.

The contingent consisted of Secretary Anand Thapa, joint secretary Sushanta Das, treasurer Pawan and joint treasurer Roshni Subba.
