Shillong, Aug 10: Meghalaya government on Tuesday decided to increase the corpus of the Meghalaya Contingency Fund from Rs. 305 Cr to Rs. 505 Cr.
This increase is to meet additional and unforeseen expenditures by different departments.
This was decided by the Cabinet which met on Tuesday.
At the same time, the cabinet also approved the Amendment of the Meghalaya F.R’s & S.R’s 1984 & the Meghalaya Delegation of Financial Powers Rules 2006 in order to facilitate the Director of Dairy Development of His/Her duties as head of the Department under the Meghalaya F.R’s & S.R’s 1984 & the Meghalaya Delegation of Financial Powers Rules 2006.
Additionally, the Cabinet also discussed the nomination of VIPs for the Independence Day Celebrations 2021 who will be taking the salute at various locations of the State.
