Meghalaya Govt to soon decide on Reciprocal Transport Agreement

Must read

Shillong, Oct 29: Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh on Tuesday said the department will soon take a call on the proposal to implement the Reciprocal Transport Agreement (RTA).

Speaking to reporters, Lyngdoh said that implementation of the RTA has been suggested by the All Khasi Hills Meghalaya Tourist Taxis Association (AKMTTA).

“Two meetings have been taken by the director with the association concerned. They (AKMTTA) have been asked to submit in black and white their suggestion for that reciprocal arrangement, which they say exists in other states,” he said.

“Once that proposal comes from them, we will take a call but the director has been talking to these various groups,” he assured.
