Shillong, June 19: The United Democratic Party (UDP) president, Metbah Lyngdoh, said on Monday that the No-Confidence Motion of the National People’s Party (NPP) against the Executive Committee (EC) led by the UDP will not affect the alliance in the MDA-II government.
UDP chief Metbah Lyngdoh said at the party level that he will speak to the NPP president, who is also Chief Minister of the state, Conrad Sangma, on this matter.
Lyngdoh also said that he was shocked by the decision taken by the MDCs of the NPP, but he would leave the matter to his party’s elected MDCs.
Lyngdoh will be meeting CM Conrad Sangma in the next few days.
