Shillong, Oct 31: Meghalaya Women’s Cricket Team triumphed against Bihar in the third round plate of the Women’s Senior One Day Trophy at Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata on Sunday.
Meghalaya won the match by 22 runs hitting 176 runs while Bihar hit only 154 runs.
Meghalaya guest player Rajni Lodhi was the top run scorer with 50 runs from 78 balls and Ajima Sangma took 5 wickets from eight overs.
Meghalaya will take on Manipur on November 1, Nagaland on November 3rd, Jammu and Kashmir on November 4th and Arunachal Pradesh on November 6th at the same venue.
The senior women’s one-day tournament is divided into six groups, namely, Elite Group A, Elite Group B, Elite Group C, Elite Group D, Elite Group E, and Plate Group. A total of 106 matches will be played across six venues, namely, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune, Dehradun, Vizag, and Nagpur. Out of the 106 matches, 96 matches will be league matches and 10 will be knockouts.
