Shillong, June 16: A joint team of West Garo Hills Police and North Garo Hills Police nabbed two notorious smugglers of Fake Indian Currency Note (FICN) and recovered FICN amounting Rs 10.35Lakh on Friday.
According to Police, these two smugglers had planned to supply the FICN to weekly markets.
The nab and recovery was done based on a tip off.
Also, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Meghalaya Police, Dr L R Bishnoi, IPS took to micro blogging site twitter to congratulate the team.
He wrote, “Acting on a tip off, a joint team of @wghpolice and @NGHPolice nabbed two notorious FICN smugglers and recovered FICN amounting ₹10.35Lakh.They planned to supply the same to weekly markets. Hunt is on for their associates. Good work team. Keep it up.”

Meanwhile, Police is looking for their associates.
