Shillong, June 19: The Indian Meteorogical Department predicted very heavy rain to extremely heavy rain in Meghalaya’s East Garo Hills, East Khasi Hills, Jaintia Hills, South Garo Hills, West Garo Hills, West Khasi Hills in the next 24 hours.
The rain is expected to occur at most places of the state.
Also, severe to very heavy rains, extremely heavy rainfall, and thunderstorms is expected in Assam, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.

On June 20, Meghalaya, Assam, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, southern Uttar Pradesh, and neighboring Madhya Pradesh are also likely to see heavy to very heavy rainfall, extremely heavy spells, and thunderstorms.
Heavy rain, thunderstorms are also expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim, and Kerala.
