Shillong, Dec 1: Meghalaya golfer Johnwell Momin delivered one of the standout performances at the Fourth BORBHAG Cup 2025, smashing a 291-yard drive to clinch the Longest Drive title and finishing Runner-Up in the Pro Gross category at the Misa Polo Club, Kellyden, Assam.

Terming the moment “memorable,” Momin told Hub News he owed the achievement to his supporters. “I thank God, my wife Jeeta D Sangma, and all who stood by me — including former minister James P. K. Sangma and my playing partners Dr. Werlok Kharsiieng, Leon A. Sangma and Dada Ollex Momin,” he said.

A former professional-category winner in 2023, Momin praised the Misa Polo Club’s increasingly competitive course. “The greens were superbly smooth and fast, the fairways narrow, and the hazards well-marked. Every year the course evolves to global standards, giving every golfer a fair challenge,” he noted.
