New Delhi, Mar 31: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued severe weather warning for 17 districts in Assam, heavy rain, and lightning are expected on March 31.
The affected districts include Morigaon, Nagaon, Sonitpur, Biswanath, Hojai, West Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao, East Karbi Anglong, Golaghat, Jorhat, Majuli, Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Sivasagar, Charaideo, Dibrugarh, and Tinsukia.
The authorities have urged the residents in these areas to take necessary precautions for their safety. With severe weather conditions expected the citizens are advised to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities.
