Guwahati, Jan 19: Assam police on Thursday rescued a 14-year-old girl from Hapur district in Uttar Pradesh.

The girl had been reported missing since Monday morning, prompting the Basistha police to file a missing persons complaint and initiate an investigation. According to reports, she vanished from her rented residence in Bakrapara, with her phone switched off during the incident.

Following her disappearance from a rented residence in Bakrapara with her phone switched off, the city police initiated an investigation and registered a complaint.

The search led authorities to Uttar Pradesh, where the missing girl was traced. In connection with the case, one youth has been apprehended. The girl has been safely handed over to her family.
