Aizawl, Dec 29: Aizawl police on Thursday arrested six people and seized Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) valued at Rs. 8,52,500 (total 1705 nos of Rs 500 denomination note) at Zotlang, Champhai.

The arrested were identified as Laltlanzova (38), Lalnunzauva (25), Lalhriatpuia (27), Lalthangmawia (24) and Rosangzuala (38), all of Zotlang, Champhai District, Mizoram.

Another Lalbiaktluanga (48) of Venglai, Lunglei was also arrested in Aizawl by Kulikawn PS team.

FIR under sections 489B/489C IPC has been registered.
