Tura, Sep 3: The Mrong Mahari Association of Tura organised a Variety Show cum Sales Day event on Saturday at the District Auditorium in Tura. The event was an open-to-all event that lured people from all over the town to try out a variety of cuisines and beverages and also enjoy copious programmes put together by various performers from the Mrong Mahari.

Among the numerous performances, there was a Taekwondo demonstration by the Don Bosco Taekwondo team, led by their coach Osmon T. Sangma, and a beautiful violin musical segment by a student from the Tura Music Academy.

There were food stalls arranged by the Mrong mahari, decorated with different types of delicacies for the public to savour. The auditorium was loosely jam-packed with people, mostly Mrong clan members.

The Mrong Mahari Association also held a small lucky draw with attractive prizes like scooty, refrigrator and a washing machine for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd lucky winners, respectively, and smartphones as a consolation prize towards the end of the programme.
