Agartala, Feb 10: BJP president J.P. Nadda said that if BJP returns to power in Tripura, it would bring investment worth over Rs 50,000 crores in the next five years for economic development of the State.

While addressing a poll rally at Khayerpur here, Nadda said, “We would bring lots of development for the infrastructure development of Tripura. Our government is committed to work for the economic development of the state. A Special Economic Zones (SEZ) would be created in the state to develop and strengthen the basic infrastructure of the state.”

“The new government would invest Rs 600 crores from the Tripura Gram Unnat Fund. We welcome the ‘Nai Umang Nai Udan and Unnata Tripura Shrestha Tripura’,” Nadda asserted.

He said, “In the last five years, we have worked for the development of the state. We have thrown Left extremism and corruption from the state. The CPI-M have ruled for 27 years in the state by creating terror among the people. Now, Tripura has seen development.”
