Shillong, Jan 19: The Vice-Chancellor of NEHU, Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla, informed the Union Minister of Education, Dharmedra Pradhan, on Thursday that the recruitment process for the teaching posts would be completed in three to four months.

Meeting the Education Minister in New Delhi, Prof. Shukla also said the recruitment process of the non-teaching staff would be followed after the teaching staff’s recruitment.

Further, the Vice-Chancellor appraised the minister about the development work in NEHU, which took place in last one year includes the setting up of various centres like Design Innovation Centre, Office of the International Affairs, the IPR centre, MOOCs centre and the Research Cell among others.

In an effort to expedite the developmental work in NEHU, the Vice-Chancellor also discussed the budget requirement of the University with the Minister, which was positively responded by the Union Minister.
