The protest participated by a huge number of students started from the University Central Library and planned to end in the VC’s chamber in the Administration Block. However, when they learnt that the VC is presently at the Kiang Nangbah Guest House, where an emergency meeting of the Academic Council (AC) was being held, students swiftly redirected their course towards the venue.

These students demand improvements in food quality, WiFi access, and infrastructure for a safer and more comfortable environment for all residents. They also demand the establishment of a dedicated library for the School of Technology (SOT), the upgradation of computer equipment in the laboratories to facilitate effective learning and research, transparency and fairness in the marking system, ensuring that every student is assessed objectively and equitably, and the termination of Rohit Prasad, who was allegedly appointed in a flimsy manner as a technical officer or senior consultant without any advertisement or due process of recruitment but unilaterally and authoritatively interviewed (online) by the Vice Chancellor.
