Tura, March 23: The new executive committee in the GHADC under Albinush Marak as CEM has been given out portfolios with six NPP MDCs getting positions and two new members into the ruling alliance also appointed as executive members.
CEM Albinush Marak holds the crucial department of finance, parliamentary affairs and general administration while other departments have been distributed to the 11 Executive Members including deputy CEM Nikman Marak. He has been given the Land and Revenue department, custom and usage, inter-state boundary dispute matters, relief and rehabilitation, brick market.
Nikman was deputy CEM during Benedic Marak’s tenure as CEM, was selected again as Dy CEM when Rakesh A Sangma took over, and now under new CEM Albinush Marak.
Boldamgre MDC from Trinamool who joined the NPP side, Stevie Marak, and UDP MDC Ashahel D Shira representing Batabari constituency, have been made executive members along with Independents Nathawal S Marak and Arbinstone B Marak and eight others.
Stevie Marak has become EM of GHADC for agriculture, sports and youth affairs, sand market and cattle feeding.
The UDP MDC Ashahel D Shira, is now the new EM for forests and environment, water conservation and catchment area development, jhum control.
Other EMs with their portfolios are Sengbath R Marak forRural Administration, ferry ghats and fisheries, Henen R Sangma forTourism, reformation and coordination, Linekar K Sangma for Transport, printing and stationary, Grahambell A Sangma for Taxation and water works, Anseng A Sangma for Rural development, art and culture, resource mobilization.
