Niaw Wasa United FC to represent Meghalaya at ‘Hero Futsal Club Championship’ in Delhi

Jowai, Oct 27: The West Jaiñtia District Sports Association (WJDSA) on Wednesday felicitated and provided financial assistance to Niaw Wasa United Football Club before it departed to New Delhi to represent Meghalaya at the ‘Hero Futsal Club Championship’ organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) from November 5th to 13th.

A small meeting was organised by the WJDSA at Kiang Nangbah Stadium Ladthalaboh, Dongmihsngi Jowai in the presence of the Working President of WJDSA, EMH Passah, its General Secretary L. Laloo, the Treasurer Junemon Paswet and also the President of the Club Monlang Nongtdu.

The office bearers of the WJDSA wished the players success and expressed their joy as the Club from Jaiñtia Hills will be representing the state at the National League in New Delhi.The Club will be departing for Delhi on October 28th and it will be competing against 16 Clubs during the League which includes Baroda FC (Gujarat), Chanmari Zothan Futsal (Mizoram), Kuppuraj FC (Puducherry), Super Strikers FC (Karnataka), Speed Force FC (Telangana), Sporting Clube de Goa (Goa), Delhi FC (Delhi), Real Kashmir FC (Kashmir), Telongjem FC (Nagaland), Classic Football Academy (Manipur), Mangal Club (Odisha), Niaw Wasa United Sports & Cultural Club (Meghalaya), Bengaluru FC (Karnataka), TRAU FC (Manipur), Mohammedan SC (West Bengal) and Sudeva Delhi FC (Delhi).
