Shillong, June 14: A delegation of the Nongmensong Presbyterian Church and Nongmensong Dorbar Shnong on Tuesday requested intervention of Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong for repairing of roads in the area in view of the upcoming presbytery to be held on February 18, 2023.

The delegation was led by BJP legislator from Pynthorumkhrah, AL Hek.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Hek said that the delegation has submitted the proposal for repairing of the roads and proper electricity supply during the upcoming presbytery, which will be held at Nongmensong.

“We have also requested the need to upgrade a very old transformer near the gate of the Presbyterian Church and others,” he said.

Hek also shared that the Deputy Chief Minister has assured to look into all the requirements for the smooth conduct of the presbytery.
