Guwahati, May 4: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that the average minimum temperature in Northeast during April was the highest ever recorded for the month since 1901.
According to the IMD data, the average minimum temperature in the region stood at 22.12 degrees Celsius, which is 1.71 degrees above the normal temperature.
This rise in minimum temperature has surpassed all previous records for the month of April.
Experts attribute this significant increase in temperature to the changing climate patterns and the effects of global warming.
