Tura, May 6: The only Indian Certificate School Education ICSE curriculum school across the Garo Hills region- Tura Public School has once again excelled in this year’s Class X results that was announced across the country on Monday morning.
All thirty students who appeared for the ICSE board exams passed with exceptional marks with Madonna Rimaya Laloo securing the highest marks from the school- 94.4%.
As many as three students from the school secured above 90 percent marks, while another eight students obtained above 80 percent marks.
The curriculum of the ICSE board is one of the toughest school education boards in the country and is mostly regarded as the Anglo-Indian board. All top educational institutions in the Darjeeling hills, including Loyola’s North Point, St. Paul’s, Loreto, Mount Hermon, Dr. Graham’s Homes- Kalimpong, St. Joseph’s Convent for girls, St. Augustine for boys, Goethals Memorial (belonging to St. Edmund’s branch) in Kurseong and others follow the ICSE curriculum up to Class X and the senior Indian School Certificate or ISC for the Class XI and Class XII curriculum.
This year, the Darjeeling-Kalimpong-Kurseong schools have once again taken the limelight in the ICSE and ISC results that were declared on Monday.
