Tura, Oct 17: The highly anticipated District Basketball Association (DBA) Tura’s Open Basketball Tournament commenced on Thursday at the Don Bosco College in Tura.
The thrilling event, featuring 10 men’s teams and 5 women’s teams from across Meghalaya, will run until October 25.
Basketball enthusiasts and students from the host college gathered to witness the exciting matches.
The tournament kicked off with a women’s match between Kawate and Chijanggi Youth Club at 3 pm. Kawate dominated the game, securing a convincing 38-8 win.
In the men’s division, Sangkni clashed with AirBallers, resulting in a one-sided 40-18 victory for Sangkni.
On Friday, Don Bosco Mendal (North Garo Hills) will lock horns against Initiators.

– Venue: Don Bosco College, Tura
– Participating Teams: 10 men’s, 5 women’s
