Shillong, April 5: Cabinet Minister and Phulbari’s MLA, A.T. Mondal, who is also the President of the managing committee of Jawaharlal Nehru Higher Secondary School, expressed immense joy over the exceptional SSLC results achieved by students from his constituency. Three students from the school secured top ranks—Pori Panday claimed the second rank, Abu Towfique Elahi Mondal earned the ninth rank, and Rehan Mahammed achieved the nineteenth rank.
“This is one of the happiest days of my life. I congratulate the three students for their outstanding performance, their parents, guardians, and the school’s principal and staff for their dedicated support,” Mondal remarked. He highlighted the collective efforts of the teachers, managing committee, and infrastructure improvements as key to the school’s success.

Mondal highlighted the importance of personalized attention, saying, “With 1,600 students and limited teachers, quality teaching and individual care make all the difference. Regular interactions with the principal, teaching staff, and guardians ensure continuous support for the students.”
The Cabinet Minister also lauded the state government and education department for the remarkable improvement in the overall pass percentage, which surged to 87.10% from last year’s 55.80%. He commended the early declaration of results by the Meghalaya Board of School Education, terming it a “welcome move” that eases admission processes for students.
Mondal expressed hope that such milestones and timely results would continue to benefit the student community, showcasing the dedication to educational excellence in Meghalaya.
