Guwahati, Feb 4:Â Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Assam on Saturday evening ahead of the Lok Sabha 2024. He is scheduled to lay bases for numerous projects, totalling over Rs 11,600 crore in Guwahati on Sunday.
He will also address a rally at Khanapara Veterinary field at 11 am where he will dedicate the projects to the people of the state.
Here is the list of projects for which foundation stones will be laid:
- Kamakhya temple corridor (₹498 crore)
- Six-lane road from the new airport terminal (₹358 crore) in Guwahati
- Upgradation of Nehru Stadium to FIFA standards ( ₹831 crore)
- New sports complex in Chandrapur (₹300 crore)
- Karimganj Medical College and Hospital (₹578 crore)
- Unity Mall in Guwahati (₹297 crore)
- Integrated new building of the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (₹3,250 crore)
- South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation (SASEC) Corridor Connectivity, a multiple road upgradation projects worth over Rs. 3400 crore, under which 43 roads including 38 bridges will be upgraded
Projects to be inaugurated:
- Four-lane road from Biswanath Chariali to Gohpur, developed at a cost of ₹1,451 crore,
- Four-lane road from Dolabari to Jamuguri, constructed at a cost of ₹592 crore
