Shillong, Mar 29: A program to shed light on abnormal uterine bleeding themed “A CME on “Abnormal Uterine Bleeding: A peep into the future” was organized by FOGSI Endocrinology Committee in collaboration with Shillong Obstetrics and Gynecology Society at the State Convention Centre.
Dr. Ananya Das, Additional Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, NEIGRIHMS, and the East Zone Coordinator of the Committee said that the program was to spread awareness on abnormal uterine bleeding among women.
Eminent national and experts from the region were present for the program and shared their experiences and knowledge. The program was attended by over 50 delegates including Prof. Santa Singh, Dean, NEIGRIHMS and senior gynecologists from Shillong and Guwahati.
The program was also attended by Dr. Wanswet, Retd. DHS, Government of Meghalaya and Prof. Dr. Nalin Mehta, Director, NEIGRIHMS stated that even though abnormal uterine bleeding concerns women, it consequently affects the entire family, early care and alertness about it will help save lives.
