Protests on International Yoga day in Manipur, over violence and alleged silence by PM Modi

Imphal, June 21: Protesting PM Modi alleged silence over Manipur violence a large number of people held sit in protest, shouted slogans and burnt effigies in Manipur.

The protest was held at Thoubal Mela ground on occasion of International Yoga day.

While talking to media persons Rizorio Okram one of the protesters said Prime minister Narendra Modi is preaching the message of peace and harmony in the world while conveniently ignoring the fact that a part of his own country is burning for the last 49 days.

Rizorio said more than hundred people have been killed thousands are injured, many are still missing, more than five thousand houses have been torched more than fifty thousand people are displaced.

However the Prime Minister has failed to make a single tweet expressing his condolences and not ever mentioned a single word Rizorio added.

The protest was organised by one organisation called Thoubal Apunba Lub.
