Shillong, March 3: The Meghalaya government has assured its people of a significant transformation in the education sector in the coming years.
This was said by Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma in response to concerns raised by Union Minister of State for Education and DoNER Sukanta Majumdar regarding Meghalaya’s struggle to provide quality education.
“We recognize the problem and are making every effort to address it. In the coming years, we will witness a significant transformation,” Sangma assured.
“We are aware of the situation, and our goal is to bring meaningful change,” stated
He further emphasized the government’s commitment, stating, “We are working tirelessly, reaching every corner of the state, and ensuring that our teachers receive the necessary training to deliver quality education, as this is our top priority.”
Majumdar, during his recent visit, had pointed out that Meghalaya is lagging in delivering quality education to its children.
