Shillong, Nov 28: In a tale that echoes both Bollywood romance and cultural fusion, renowned actor Randeep Hooda, born in Rohtak, Haryana, is set to tie the knot with his lady love, Lin Laishram. The duo revealed their exciting news in a captivating social media announcement, choosing the date of November 29, 2023, for their nuptials.

Here’s are 10 things you need to know about them:

1. Randeep Hooda was born in a Hindu family on August 20, 1976, in Rohtak, Haryana, India. Known for his fit physique, Randeep is a fitness enthusiast and has often shared his workout routines and fitness tips with his fans.

2. He initially studied at a boarding school, later completed his Bachelor’s degree from Melbourne in Marketing and has a Master’s Degree in Business Management and Human Resource Management. He also worked in a Chinese restaurant, waited tables and washed cars in his early days before fame.

3. Randeep made his Bollywood debut in 2001 with the film “Monsoon Wedding,” where he played a minor role and waited for years for a second project. His breakthrough performance came in the film “Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai” (2010), where he portrayed the character of ACP Agnel Wilson.

4. He has also been a part of international projects, notably the film “Love Sonia” (2018), which premiered at the London Indian Film Festival, and Extraction (2020) in which he starred alongside Chris Hemsworth.

5. Outside of acting, he has a deep passion for equestrian sports and has actively participated in horse riding events. He owns and maintains several horses in Mumbai racecourse. He has won medals for riding which he participated in Mumbai and Delhi alongside riders from the Indian Army.

6. Randeep Hooda actively supports social and environmental causes, championing animal rights, engaging in water conservation initiatives, and contributing to an anti-suicide campaign alongside Imtiaz Ali. He also took part in a charity fashion show for Khushi, Kalil Dec’s NGO dedicated to uplifting impoverished communities in India, and raised awareness about chronic hunger after Jism 2.

7. In 2021, Randeep shared a candid shot with his partner Lin Laishram, wishing her a happy birthday with the caption “Keep smiling in the sun always @Linlaishram”. Likewise, Lin then took it to Instagram to wish the actor on his birthday, August 20. She wrote “Happy Birthday my hot fudge with heart and fire emojis”. Randeep and Lin officially confirmed their relationship in a dazzling “Insta official” post during the festive fervour of Diwali in October 2022.

8. Lin Laishram also has also appeared in films like Om Shanti Om (2007), Mary Kom (2014), Umrika (2015), Rangoon (2017), Axone (2019), Ave Maria (2020), Jaane Jaan (2023) among others.

9. She was also the brand ambassador of New York based jewellery brand, Ozoru Jewelry. During her stay in New York, she was a print and Fashion model and worked with many renowned photographers; make-up artists and stylists. She started her jewellery line called Shamooo Sana in March 2017.

10. Laishram is a trained archer, and was a Junior National Champion in 1998.
