Shillong, Jan 7: Meghalaya Senior Football team will face three ex-champions – Punjab, West Bengal and Kerala, in the Santosh Trophy, also referred to as the Senior National Football Championship.
The official draw for the 75th edition of the Santosh Trophy was held on Thursday afternoon in New Delhi. Ten teams who came through the qualifiers were drawn into two groups of five each for the main event which will be held in Kerala from February 20, 2022.
Group A – West Bengal, Kerala, Punjab (the three former champions), Meghalaya, and Rajasthan.
Group B – Gujarat, Karnataka, Odisha, Manipur, and defending champions Services.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.
