Shillong, April 4: The Director of Higher & Technical Education on Friday informed that under the Umbrella Scheme of Post Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe (ST) students for the academic session 2023–2024, payments have already been processed for a total of 27,327 beneficiaries.
Of these, payments for 13,608 students were successfully transferred to their respective bank accounts on March 21, 2025, as confirmed through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS).

However, the remaining 13,719 students have not yet received their scholarships due to incomplete Aadhaar seeding or linking with their bank accounts. An SMS alert was sent from the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) on March 19, 2025, to the registered mobile numbers of these students, advising them to verify and update their Aadhaar linking status with their respective banks.
The NSP allows 15 days from the date of the SMS for beneficiaries to comply. This window closed on April 4, 2025. Once the Aadhaar seeding is completed, the payment files will be available in the NSP Payment Module for processing.
However, the NSP Delhi Team, via email dated April 3, 2025, announced that the National Scholarship Portal will undergo system maintenance from 5:00 PM on April 3 until April 8, 2025. During this period, the portal will be temporarily inaccessible, and no scholarship payments can be initiated.
Payments for students who have completed Aadhaar linking will resume after the maintenance is complete and the portal becomes fully operational.
For further assistance, beneficiaries can write to [email protected] or contact the helpline numbers 7005037347/ 9077574956.
