Selsella SA becomes second semi finalist, defeating West Balalgre Club in a 3-0 victory

Tura, May 27: In a highly anticipated match on Monday, Selsella SA faced West Balalgre Club in the 25th match of the Tura Football League at the Chandmari Football Turf in Tura.

This matchup held significant weight as both teams had an equal opportunity to claim the second spot, with both teams having the same points in the league table.

The match commenced despite the torrential rain, later compelling the match official to halt the game until the rain subsided early in the first half. Due to the game being halted for 22 minutes, it was also decided to provide only 7 minutes of halftime.

As the match resumed, the Selsella team made attempts, and in the 21st minute, Nikseng Ch Marak opened the scoring with the team’s first goal, setting up a lead, whereas the West Balalgre Team struggled to connect their passes.

The match saw a dramatic moment towards the end of the first half when the manager of the Selsella team, Gamseng Ch Marak, was given a yellow card in the 31st minute for accidental misconduct.

Coming back from the break, the Selsella team quickly picked up the pace when Tengsu Ch Sangma added to the lead with his goal in the 48th minute. And soon, Chiranjit Rabha secured Selsella’s victory with the final goal in the 68th minute.

The West Balalgre team was seen to struggle throughout the game, failing to connect their passes and convert some clear opportunities, with Bilseng Sangma receiving a yellow card in the 42nd minute.
