Shillong, April 21: Meghalaya had a tough but important learning experience as they went up against giants of cricket Maharashtra in the Senior Women’s T20 League in Puducherry on Thursday.

Maharashtra won the toss and posted a huge total of 187/4 in 20 overs batting first. Meghalaya, in response, were dismissed for 69.

Positives for Meghalaya include Rajni Lodhi (23) and Rubi Chettri (22) getting runs against good bowlers. Debasmita Dutta (4/41) also claimed all four Maharashtra wickets to fall, with two coming of catches by Ajima Sangma and one by Solina Jaba.

Meghalaya will next face Kerala on Friday.
