Shillong, Feb 2: Shillong lad Akash Kumar Choudhary is among the 590 cricketers named in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Player Auction list.
22-year-old Akash is a fast bowler and a resident of Nongrim Hills, Shillong.
The two day IPL mega auction will be held on February 12 and 13, 2022 at Bengaluru. Choudhary is in the pool of uncapped players with a Rs 20 lakh base price.
Choudhary has represented Meghalaya 30 times across the men’s senior team in first-class matches, List A and T20 and taken 43 wickets in all. Choudhary made his senior team debut in 2019.
Amongst 590 players who have been shortlisted for the auction, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players and 7 belong to Associate Nations.
This will be the 15th season of the IPL and some of the biggest stars of world cricket will be coming together to light up the prestigious tournament.
