Shillong Shocker! Burnt foetus found abandoned at Malki’s forest area

Shillong, July 5: In a heart-wrenching incident, the Office of the Superintendent of Police (SP), East Khasi Hills (EKH) district informed that a burnt foetus was found abandoned at Malki Khliehshnong’s forest area near the catholic cemetery.

Police said that the foetus was found last month and inquest was conducted a day after it was recovered (June 18).

The burnt body was later shifted to NEIGRIHMS for post-mortem examination. Following the autopsy, the foetus was kept at NEIGRIHMS Hospital’s morgue room.

The SP office has asked public to identify the burnt foetus and take it immediately by calling on the following numbers: O/C Laitumkhrah PS-0364 2223069, I/C Police Control Room Shillong-0364 2222214/2222215.

Also, a case has been registered at Laitumkhrah PS in connection with the incident.
