Six minors rescued from Tura MDCs brothel

Tura, July 23: Tura police have rescued six minors, four boys and two girls, from the ‘brothel’ allegedly run by BJP’s Meghalaya vice-president Bernard N Marak at his farm house in Tura.

Confirming the rescue to Hub News, West Garo Hills SP Vivekanand Singh informed that a total of 6 minors – 4 boys and 3 girls, were found confined inside two different rooms in extreme unhygienic conditions.

While the four boys and one girl were taken out from one room another minor tried to pass her age off as an adult. But on proper verification of her documents was found to be underaged.

The private farm known ss “Rimpu Bagan” and operated by the BJP leader Bernard N Marak was raided by Tura police on Friday evening which has led to shocking revelations about criminal activities taking place inside the farm with condoms, alcohol, weapons including crossbow and daggers being found.

The MDC Bernard N Marak has categorically denied running a brothel at his private farm and alleged that the police raid was conducted without warrant. The MDC has fled the State and is in Delhi to meet some of the leaders of the BJP, it was reported.
