Tura,Jan 17: A shocking incident has taken place in West Garo Hills in which a son murdered his own mother by beheading her.

The police team at Babadam, under Rongram police station, were informed that one Sengjon Ch Sangma, 25 year, S/o Jasin R Marak R/o, Chidaogre village near Babadam, had taken the extreme step of attacking his mother and beheading her with a sharp dao at their own residence.

After committing the crime the accused has gone absconding.

The victim’s name is Late Dijak Ch Sangma, 45 years, W/o, shri Jasin R Marak.
