Guwahati, April 2: In a successful operation conducted this afternoon by the Special Task Force of Assam, two women drug peddlers were apprehended at Railway Gate No. 3, Fancy Bazar, in Guwahati.
The raid resulted in the recovery of 70 vials containing suspected heroin, weighing 94 grams, along with two mobile phones, five empty vials, and Rs. 830 in cash.
The arrested individuals are identified as Alimon Begum (26 years old) and Sukurjan Begum (23 years old). They were residing at SRCB Road, Railway Gate No. 3, Fancy Bazar, Panbazar PS.
Alimon Begum hails from Kamarpara Kuwari pukhuri, PS-Kalaigaon, Dist-Darrang, while Sukurjan Begum resides at Simaluguri road, PS-Rowta, Dist-Udalguri.
The STF’s decisive action underscores the commitment to combat drug trafficking in the region, ensuring the safety and security of the people.
