Tura, June 23: ST Xavier’s Higher Secondary school, in West Garo Hills, Tura, Meghalaya on Friday On Friday organised a prayer service with the students from 9:15 am to 11:40 am for peace in Manipur.

The prayer service was held after directions were given by the Diocese of Tura.

Bishop Jose Chirackal was also present at the prayer service with the students.

A prayer service was also held t Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School in Williamnagar for peace in the violence hit Manipur.

Several incidents of violence were reported on Wednesday in Manipur, including a blast in a parked car at Kwakta in Bishnupur district.

For more than 50 days, violence have been witnessed in Manipur. The unprecedented violence that has devastated the lives of thousands of people in the state.
