Assam goes for polls on 7th May for the 3rd Phase of Lok Sabha in this regard Anurag Goyal, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of the state, briefed the media on strategies for the four constituencies set to go to polls in this phase at Dispur’s Janata Bhawan CEO Goyal shed light on the election preparedness logistical arrangements for conducting smooth and fair elections. A total of 9,516 polling stations have been set up to facilitate the electoral process during the third phase. The electorate for this phase comprises 81,49,091 individuals, comprising 41,00,544 male voters, 40,48,436 female voters, and 111 voters identified as the third gender. There are 1,529 voters aged above 100 years, reflecting the diverse demographic of the electorate.
